The beginning

Hey everybody, I would like to welcome at my blog.

I'm Marie, aka the Young Reader, a Belgian girl and 16 years old. I've been thinking about this for a long time, but eventually I just did it: I started a blog to give my opinion about books. I'll try to read a book every 2 weeks, and say it was or wasn't a good book and why. Of course, it's up to you if you want the read the book or not, this is just my opinion. Please don't shoot me if I said the book wasn't good and you said is was very good. Again, it's just my opinion.

There will be books in it that I had to read for school, but the most are on a level for adults and youth, so that won't be a problem. I'll sometimes make articles about the authors so you get some information about them.

This blog is meant for people like me, young adults, but the ones who don't like to read, to discover some books you might be interested in. Ofcourse, I don't exclude the grown-up's. If you don't like all the heavy literature, why won't you read one of the books I recommend ? :)

Also I appreciate recommendations from you, I would love to read them :) but please give me the time to find and read them. You've been younger too, or you're still. You'll know being a student isn't an easy job, won't you ? ;)

I speak and read three languages: Dutch, French and English. Also a little bit German, but it's only my second year that I get it at school, so it isn't spectacular. It's possible the book I chose isn't in yours, I apologize for that. But I'll do my best to read books from all four of them.

Ofcourse, I couldn't organise this without any help :) two friends of mine, Charlotte and Lynn help me with it. Charlotte is my photographer and Lynn is my adviser about all my articles.

I've also made a Twitterpage, so if you're more on Twitter then Blogger, you'll get a message or a tweet so you can find all the new books I read and gave my opinion of. just look for @theyoungreader, you'll find it. A Facebookpage will maybe come after that, if I have many success, because it's a heavy job to maintain.

I'll start with it in 2012, because of course, I have some work for school around this time of the year.

I hope you'll enjoy this blog as much as I do, and I'll hope I can read as much as I promised to give you some advice :)
